My neutering experience

In my opinion neutering you dog is the best thing you could do for your pet. With many different benefits for both male and female dogs and a low risk procedure where could you go wrong? well im going to tell you my experience from neutering my two male dogs

I have two male dogs both of which are neutered Milo when he was 7 months old and Leo when he was 8 years old. Neither of then would i consider to be ''less manly'' or ''neither sex'' as a lot of my customers would say, they still cock their legs to pee, they still play fight and they still try to be the Top-dog at the Dog park. The only physical difference i have seen is their coats are courser and retain less oil then an entire dog but hey we cant win all the battles can we.

Let me tell you i was NOT prepared for the night after surgery with Milo, i was told expect him to be a bit groggy and not  himself, keep the cone on all night, put him somewhere secure blah blah blah..... never was i prepared for him vomiting all over my house, peeing himself during the night three times and the after surgery smell.... he hid behind the curtain for hours, he refused to go outside, refused to look at me and completely refused to eat. i had never seen him look so depressed but two days later he decided he COULD go on with life and talked himself off the edge. THANK GOD.

Now Leo on the other hand, Leo broke my heart. I had adopted him a month before and after a month of training he still felt the need to mark his territory all over MY stuff, my jackets, my pillows, my bed, laundry anything he thought i touched he would pee on. so i booked him in and brought him to the vets with a waggy tail and he left with a waggy tail. I had little to no issues with him he had no grogginess, no illness nothing..... i decided i had to do it and it worked and nearly a year later i have a dog that is calm relaxed and doesn't scent mark everything....

but all in all i would recommend neutering, in my opinion its money well spent and i love every minute with my fur-babies even if they are ball-less ;)
